Club nights are the late end of a night out in Hurghada and El Gouna. The music ranges from house and techno to commercial hits and Arabic nights, with resident DJs, guest DJs on special dates and, at some venues, live shows. Some clubs are in town, some inside the big resorts, and some are open-air venues by the beach that turn into dance floors after dark. Where the clubs are
In Hurghada, most clubs and late bars are spread along the coast: around Sakkala and Sheraton Road in the center, near Hurghada Marina, and further south along the El Mamsha promenade and Village Road, where many resorts also run their own discos for guests. Sahl Hasheesh, south of Hurghada, is quieter, with evenings centered on the hotels. In El Gouna, roughly half an hour north, the night centers on Abu Tig Marina and Downtown, with beach parties by the lagoons in season.
When clubs get busy
Clubs on the Red Sea start late. Many only fill up close to midnight, and the busiest hours usually come after that, into the early morning. Opening times are set by each venue and can change by night and season, so check the details of the night you want. The season matters too: summer and public holidays bring Egyptian holidaymakers and some of the biggest parties, while from autumn to spring European visitors set a steadier pace. Where the crowd is mostly Egyptian, Thursday and Friday are often the biggest nights, since the weekend falls on Friday and Saturday.
Dress code, age and ID
Smart-casual is the norm: neat trousers or jeans, a shirt or a smart top, a dress, and proper shoes. Some clubs turn away beachwear, sportswear and flip-flops, and some ask for a smarter look on special nights. The door staff decide who gets in, and some venues have their own door policy, for example for large groups, so check the rules of the night before you go. Getting home safely
Plan your ride home before the night starts. Taxis and ride apps are the usual ways to get around; with a street taxi, agree the fare before you get in, and keep your hotel's name and address on your phone. Stay with your friends, keep your drink with you, and leave with the people you came with. Clubs get hot and summer nights stay warm, so drink water between drinks.
